The 017D008166 pressure switch is part of the RT Pressure Switches series and is manufactured by Danfoss for hydraulic automation systems where a defined pressure change must trigger an electrical response. It operates in ambient temperatures from -20 °C to 65 °C, allowing function in both cool and warm plant areas. The switch carries an SPDT contact function so a rising or falling pressure can open one circuit while closing another. A fixed contact differential of 0.05 bar provides consistent switching accuracy between make and break points. The differential pressure setting can be adjusted between 0 bar and 0.9 bar, giving installers flexibility to match system requirements. A built-in automatic reset returns the contacts to their original state when pressure returns within range, supporting unattended operation. Finally, an IP66 enclosure rating protects internal parts against dust and powerful water jets, ensuring reliability in exposed locations.
On the low-pressure side, the switch tolerates pressures from −1 bar to 6 bar, so it can handle slight vacuum conditions as well as moderate positive pressures. The maximum working pressure is 7 bar, while a test pressure up to 8 bar allows integrity checks without damaging the sensing element. A neutral zone not exceeding 0.23 bar minimizes drift between successive cycles to maintain repeatability. The pressure connection is a 3/8 in port machined to ISO 228-1 threads, providing compatibility with standard hydraulic fittings. External wiring is routed through two Pg 13.5 cable entries that accommodate typical industrial conduits.
