The 017D007266 pressure switch belongs to the RT Pressure Switches series from Danfoss and monitors hydraulic lines to automate pumps or valves. It tolerates ambient temperatures from -50 °C to 70 °C so it can function in outdoor machinery or heated engine rooms. An IP66 enclosure blocks dust and powerful water jets, allowing installation in wash-down areas. The G 3/8 A process port with a 6.5/10 mm weld nipple simplifies mounting on threaded or brazed pipework. Continuous operation is permitted up to 42 bar, while a 47 bar test rating provides safety margin during pressure proofing. The low-pressure bellows supports 36 bar to shield the sensing element from short over-pressure events. Electrical insulation withstands 400 V, enabling direct connection to common control circuits without extra isolation devices.
The device offers one SPDT and one SPST contact so it can drive a control relay and an independent alarm at the same time. A fixed 0.5 bar contact differential delivers quick re-closure after pressure falls, preventing extended pump downtime. The switching span is user-selectable between 1 bar and 6 bar to suit a range of accumulator or compressor settings. Withstand capability of 4 kV rated impulse voltage protects the contacts from switching surges produced by inductive loads. A 10 A short-circuit fuse should be placed in series to guard the wiring and contacts against fault currents. Two Pg 13.5 cable entries accommodate separate power and signal cabling, maintaining clear routing paths inside the panel. Automatic reset returns the mechanism to its standby state as soon as system pressure rises within the chosen differential.
