The 017D004866 pressure switch belongs to the RT Pressure Switches series from Danfoss and serves as a control element in hydraulic automation circuits. Its single-pole double-throw neutral-zone contact allows changeover when pressure moves across defined limits. A factory setting of 0.14 bar offers an immediate trip level, and the adjustable differential can be set between 0.5 and 4 bar to tune the gap between cut-in and cut-out points. A fixed mechanical differential of 0.3 bar secures repeatable actuation, while the neutral zone can be widened to 0.9 bar to prevent rapid cycling. Fluid is introduced through a G 3/8 ISO 228-1 pressure connection, and continuous operation remains safe up to the 22 bar maximum working pressure.
The unit tolerates ambient temperatures from -50 °C to 70 °C, which enables installation in outdoor or high-heat areas without loss of accuracy. Its bellows withstand vacuum down to -1 bar and overpressure up to 18 bar, and proof tests may reach 25 bar without damage. An IP66 enclosure seals the mechanism against dust and strong water jets, while two Pg 13.5 cable entries facilitate armored gland wiring. The switch can handle inrush currents up to 28 A, so it may be wired directly to motor contactors.
