The 017D002366 pressure switch belongs to the RT Pressure Switches series and is manufactured by Danfoss for hydraulic automation systems that must start or stop pumps based on line pressure. The adjustable pressure range extends from 0.5 bar to 6 bar, allowing the user to tailor cut-in and cut-out limits for low-pressure lubrication circuits or medium-pressure hydraulic loops. A fixed contact differential of 0.5 bar sets the hysteresis so the switch changes state with predictable repeatability. The SPDT contact function provides a single-pole double-throw output, therefore one pressure event can either energize or de-energize two separate control paths. Relay release time is 0 s, meaning the contacts return to their normal position as soon as pressure falls below the trip point. Electrical wiring is introduced through a screwed cable entry, while two Pg 13.5 threaded glands give strain relief suitable for armored or flexible conduits. An IP66 enclosure rating seals the housing against dust ingress and high-pressure water spray encountered near hydraulic power units.

For continuous service the switch withstands a working pressure of 42 bar, and it can be proof-tested up to 47 bar without mechanical deformation, enabling safe functional checks after maintenance. Operation remains stable from −50 °C to 70 °C, a temperature span that covers outdoor equipment exposed to winter start-ups and elevated oil temperatures during summer duty. Electrical insulation is rated at 400 V, keeping live parts safely separated from the grounded metal enclosure. The device endures impulse voltages up to 4 kV, so transient spikes generated by solenoid valves do not damage the contacts. A 10 A short-circuit fuse must be installed in series, limiting fault current and protecting downstream control circuits. These electrical limits complement the pressure ratings and ensure the switch operates reliably as a feedback element in hydraulic automation panels.
