The 017D001366 pressure switch is part of the RT Pressure Switches series from Danfoss and is used to start or stop hydraulic equipment when system pressure reaches defined limits. It works over a low-pressure operating span from –1 bar to 9 bar so it can supervise both slight vacuums and positive pressures. A contact differential of 0.1 bar produces a rapid change-over as soon as the threshold is crossed, while an adjustable differential from 0.1 bar to 1.5 bar lets the installer set the amount of hysteresis needed to avoid chatter. The device offers SPDT and SPST contacts, providing either change-over or single-pole signaling to suit different control inputs. When pressure returns to the acceptable range the auto-reset function restores the contacts automatically. Process mounting is handled by a 12 × 1.5 male port machined to ISO 8434-1, allowing a direct seal to standard metric compression fittings.
The switch is rated for continuous service at 11 bar and is pressure-tested to 13 bar so the housing can safely resist system spikes during commissioning. An IP66 enclosure keeps dust and high-pressure water jets away from the internal mechanism, enabling outdoor or wash-down installation. Reliable performance is maintained in ambient temperatures from –40 °C to 70 °C, which covers cold starts and elevated engine-bay heat. Electrical wiring is routed through two Pg 13.5 entries made to the DIN 40430 standard, allowing the use of common industrial cable glands and conduit.
