The 070L3480 pump belongs to the RSA Oil Pumps series from Danfoss and supplies pressurized oil to hydraulic automation circuits. Its single-stage configuration reduces complexity and limits internal losses. Flow capacity reaches 180 L/h, allowing consistent feed to medium-size actuators. Left-hand rotation aligns the drive with installations that place the motor on the opposite side of the housing, while a 7/16 in shaft diameter fits standard flexible couplings. Working pressure can be adjusted between 5.5 and 21 bar, and the factory setting of 10 bar provides a ready baseline for most systems. Starting torque does not exceed 0.30 Nm, so low-power motors can bring the unit up to speed, and continuous operation draws 161 W, limiting heat rise and power consumption.
The pump is approved for a biofuel blend of 100, supporting applications that require renewable fuels instead of mineral oil. It operates with a single-pipe connection, which simplifies plumbing and eliminates unnecessary return flow; however, the feed return pressure must remain below 4 bar to avoid seal overload. A ring filter with 170 cm² surface area and 150 µm rating captures debris before it reaches sensitive metering components. The nozzle pressure outlet is designated L, identifying the left-side port location for streamlined system routing. Together, these filtration and connection features maintain clean oil delivery, prolong component life, and ensure predictable spray characteristics at the regulated discharge pressure.
