The 180B1002 displacement pump is produced by Danfoss within the PAH Displacement Pumps series and supplies pressurized fluid for hydraulic automation duties. The unit moves 308 cm³ of media per revolution, and when operated at its top speed of 1250 rpm it delivers 354.2 l/min while sustaining an outlet pressure of 120 barg. A drive torque of 661.3 Nm is required at that condition, defining the load that must be furnished by the motor or engine. The pump tolerates media temperatures up to 50 °C, so heat exchangers must be sized accordingly. Noise emission is rated at 87 dB(A), a figure used in acoustic shielding calculations. With a mass of 105 kg, suitable lifting gear and rigid mounting points are necessary during installation.
The design allows intermittent operation down to a minimum speed of 450 rpm, while continuous duty should remain at or above 700 rpm to keep internal lubrication stable. At 450 rpm the pump outputs 107.8 l/min, providing predictable flow reduction for low-demand cycles. Discharge lines must stay above 30 barg to prevent cavitation, and the suction side must be supplied with at least 2 barg but no more than 6 barg during normal running; short peaks up to 10 barg are permissible on the inlet. The working fluid may cool to 2 °C without affecting performance, giving the pump a usable temperature window suitable for chilled water or other cold media.
