The ZSF63F0-1-1X/M/01 prefill valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the ZSF Prefill Valves series to speed up cylinder filling and draining in hydraulic automation. It is built for nominal size 63, providing a passage large enough to move high volumes during low-pressure strokes. A flange connection lets the valve mount directly to manifolds or cylinder heads, while port P uses a G3/4 thread and port X uses a G1/4 thread for standard pipe fittings. The valve can be installed in any orientation, so layout options are flexible. NBR seals are fitted to handle common mineral oil media, and the assembled mass of 7 kg permits manual handling during maintenance. Pre-decompression is not provided, so external circuitry must relieve pressure before engagement. The pilot volume for opening is 7.8 cm³, giving predictable actuation timing when the pilot line is energized.
The main poppet offers an effective area of 32.67 cm², so system pressure exerts a substantial closing force that prevents backflow until pilot oil acts. A 7.07 cm² control spool meters that pilot oil, and a 1.77 cm² pilot poppet minimizes flow demand while still generating the force needed to lift the main poppet. Port A is restricted to 16 bar for tank or return duties, port B can withstand 350 bar for high-pressure supply, and port X tolerates 150 bar because it carries the pilot signal. Hydraulic fluid cleanliness must be kept at ISO 4406 20/18/15 to protect the lapped sealing surfaces and ensure long service life.
