The ZDRY10VP5-1X/160YMV pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is installed to maintain a constant downstream pressure in hydraulic automation systems. It is built as a pilot-operated 3-way unit, allowing excess flow to be diverted while the regulated line remains stable. A nominal size of 10 supports moderate flow rates without occupying excessive manifold space, and the ISO 4401-05-04-0-94 mounting pattern enables direct stacking on standard subplates. The internal pilot supply with an external drain keeps pilot flow clean and vents it without raising tank pressure, while the P1 pressure reduction port routes inlet flow directly to the control spool. Pressure is adjusted through a sleeve with a hexagon head and protective cap, letting maintenance staff dial in settings and secure them against tampering. FKM seals withstand aggressive fluids common in industrial plants, and the valve is supplied without a check valve so reverse flow is unrestricted. A G 1/4 BSP gauge port lets technicians verify secondary pressure during setup.

The unit operates up to 315 bar on the inlet side so it can be placed after high-pressure pumps, yet its secondary circuit is limited to 160 bar to protect sensitive actuators. Backpressure on the tank or bypass lines may reach 160 bar without upsetting regulation accuracy. A maximum flow capacity of 120 L/min covers many medium-duty machine tools and press sections, while allowable fluid viscosity extends to 800 mm²/s so the valve remains functional with heavy-grade oils at low temperatures. Ambient conditions from −20 °C to 80 °C are tolerated when FKM elastomers are installed, permitting outdoor or heated-enclosure mounting. Together these ratings demonstrate compatibility with diverse hydraulic fluids, variable environmental conditions, and dynamic operating demands without exceeding the valve’s structural limits.
