The ZDR6DP2-4X/25YM pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series produced by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation circuits that require stable secondary pressure downstream of variable supply lines. The unit is direct operated, so spool movement reacts immediately to pressure fluctuations without a pilot stage. With a nominal size of 6, it fits compact manifold layouts while still handling a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar on the primary side. The secondary side is limited to 25 bar, guaranteeing a controlled outlet suitable for low-pressure actuators. A maximum flow of 50 L/min can pass through the valve, giving adequate volume for medium-capacity systems. The design tolerates up to 160 bar back pressure at port T, allowing elevated return-line conditions in closed-loop circuits. Pressure reduction takes place at port P1, and the 3-way configuration diverts excess flow to tank once the set pressure is reached, keeping downstream pressure constant even when inlet pressure rises.

Pressure is adjusted by a sleeve with a hexagon and a protective cap, permitting precise setting while shielding the adjustment mechanism from contamination. Pilot oil is taken internally, which eliminates external pilot lines and simplifies plumbing. Leakage oil is drained externally through port T, so residual flow does not influence the reduced pressure. The subplate interface follows the ISO 4401-3 porting pattern, allowing immediate installation on standard size 06 manifolds without re-machining. A gauge port with G 1/4 thread provides a connection point for pressure instruments during setup or routine monitoring. All dynamic seals are made of NBR to maintain compatibility with mineral-based hydraulic fluids and to retain elasticity over the expected temperature range. During installation, mounting screws are tightened to 8.9 Nm so the valve body remains firmly seated and leakage is avoided when the circuit is exposed to full supply pressure.
