The ZDR6DP2-4X/210YM/12 pressure reducing valve belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is direct operated, so the spool reacts to inlet pressure without an intermediate pilot valve. The nominal size of 6 limits the envelope and determines the flow path dimensions for compact blocks. A sandwich plate mounting interface lets the unit fit between manifold layers in modular hydraulic assemblies. The porting pattern conforms to ISO 4401-03-02-0-05, while NFPA porting D03 (T3.5.1 R2-2002) aligns the same cavities with North American standards. Pressure reduction takes place in port P (P1), directing a controlled supply to downstream circuits. Pilot oil is taken internally and drained externally, keeping pilot chambers isolated from tank backpressure. The valve tolerates a maximum operating pressure of 350 bar on the inlet side, and the secondary pressure is limited to 210 bar to safeguard actuators and instrumentation.

The design supports a maximum flow rate of 50 l/min, providing adequate volume for medium-size actuators without excessive pressure drop. The drain port can accept backpressure up to 160 bar, so long return lines do not disturb the set pressure. A G1/4 gauge port with a depth of 12 mm allows quick installation of pressure gauges during commissioning. The adjustment mechanism uses a sleeve with a hexagon and a protective cap, giving technicians a secure grip and shielding the setting from dirt or accidental contact. Because no check valve is included, reverse flow must be managed by other components in the circuit. NBR seals contain mineral-oil based fluids and resist swelling under typical operating temperatures. The cleanliness class requirement of ISO 4406 20/18/15 specifies the particle counts needed to avoid spool jamming and premature wear.
