The ZDR6DP2-4X/210YM is a pressure reducing valve manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series, used to stabilize downstream pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. It is supplied in size 6 and follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 mounting pattern so it can be fitted to standard sub-plates. Pressure is reduced in channel P, while pilot oil is taken internally and drained externally through port Y, a configuration that separates control flow from tank return. The spool carries the symbol P2→P1; P2→T(Y), indicating the flow paths for regulated and vented oil. Outlet pressure is set with a sleeve that has a hexagon and cap, type 2, enabling straightforward mechanical adjustment. The valve does not include a check valve, which means reverse flow is not internally bypassed. It withstands inlet pressures up to 350 bar and can be mounted in any position without performance loss.
The unit limits secondary pressure to 210 bar to protect actuators connected downstream, and port Y tolerates counter pressures up to 160 bar before affecting regulation accuracy. A maximum flow rate of 50 l/min ensures stable operation within medium-capacity systems, while fluid viscosities can reach 800 mm²/s so thicker oils are accommodated during cold starts. Continuous service is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 80 °C, matching common industrial environments. NBR seals are used to provide reliable fluid containment with standard mineral-based hydraulic oils. The required oil cleanliness is class ISO 4406 20/18/15, which limits particulate contamination that could hinder the precision spool movement and orifice control. Together, these limits define the operating envelope that maintains consistent pressure reduction across varied hydraulic conditions.
