The ZDR6DA3-4X/25Y pressure reducing valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series. It is used to maintain a stable secondary circuit pressure for hydraulic actuators. The valve is size 6 and follows a direct-operated principle, so the spool reacts directly to pressure changes without a pilot stage delay. Secondary pressure is limited to 25 bar, and the inlet side can be exposed to a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar. Flow up to 50 l/min passes through channel A where reduction occurs. Pressure is adjusted by a lockable rotary knob with scale, allowing reproducible settings while preventing accidental changes. The unit mounts as a sandwich plate between a subplate and an actuator manifold, streamlining installation in stacked directional control assemblies.
An ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern aligns the valve with standard CETOP 03 manifolds. Pilot oil is taken internally, while pilot oil returns externally so back pressure in the return line does not influence the control spring chamber. Leakage oil is also routed externally through port T(Y); counter-pressure at this location may reach 160 bar without impairing function. A G1/4 connection provides a pressure gauge point for monitoring the reduced line. NBR seals resist common hydraulic oils and maintain tightness over temperature changes. An integrated check valve permits free flow from the secondary side to the primary circuit when pressure reverses, protecting downstream components. Together these features complete the hydraulic interface and ensure stable pressure control in automated machinery.
