The ZDR6DA3-4X/210Y pressure reducing valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series. It is used to maintain a stable downstream pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve has a nominal size of 6, allowing it to be mounted in compact manifolds. Its porting pattern corresponds to ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 so it fits standard subplates without adaptation. The inlet side can accept up to 315 bar, while the secondary side is limited to 210 bar to protect actuators. Pressure is reduced through port A, and the internal passages pass a maximum flow of 50 L/min which governs circuit sizing. An operator sets the required value with a lockable rotary knob that carries a scale for repeatable adjustment. Pilot supply is selectable between internal feed and external return via port Y to suit different plumbing layouts.
The valve body contains a check valve so reverse flow to the supply line is possible when pressure downstream drops. Back pressure at port T is permitted up to 160 bar, allowing return lines that share elevated tank pressure. A G 1/4 BSP port is provided for a pressure gauge, giving direct verification of the controlled zone. The unit is designed for mineral oil of types HL or HLP according to DIN 51524, and the fluid temperature may reach 80 °C without affecting performance. Hydraulic cleanliness should be better than ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to prevent spool wear. Installation uses M5 screws specified to DIN 912-10.9, and each screw must be tightened to 8.9 N·m to secure the valve to the subplate.
