The ZDR10VP4-3X/315YM/12 belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is produced by Bosch Rexroth. It regulates pressure in hydraulic circuits by throttling oil from the primary port to the secondary port and is suited for automated power units. The valve works with nominal size 10 cavities, providing a flow path compatible with mid-range manifold blocks. It follows the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 mounting pattern, letting it bolt directly to standardized sub-plates without adapters. Pressure reduction occurs in channel P, taking pressure designated P2 down to P1 to maintain stable downstream conditions. The unit is adjusted with a rotary knob, classified as type 4, so operators can set pressure without tools. Pilot oil can be supplied internally and returned externally, code Y, which offers flexibility for circuit designers. A G1/8 pressure-gauge port is included to let maintenance staff verify the reduced pressure during commissioning. All hydraulic connections use SAE threads identified by the /12 suffix, simplifying hose selection. Acceptable oil cleanliness is ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to protect internal lands from abrasion.
The valve withstands an inlet pressure of 315 bar and holds the secondary side to a maximum of 315 bar, matching high-pressure industrial systems. Counter pressure at ports ta or tb may reach 160 bar, so the design can operate with substantial back-pressure without malfunction. It supports flow rates up to 100 liters per minute, making it suitable for medium-capacity actuators. Fluid viscosity must stay between 10 mm²/s and 800 mm²/s to keep damping and response consistent. The unit contains no check valve, code M, which means reverse flow is not blocked and must be managed elsewhere in the circuit. NBR sealing is used, giving compatibility with common mineral oils and resisting wear. These performance limits and material selections complete the technical profile needed for reliable pressure control in automated hydraulic installations.
