The ZDR10VB5-3X/50YM pressure reducing valve is built by Bosch Rexroth for the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series. It keeps downstream actuators supplied with a constant pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. The unit is supplied in nominal size 10 and mounts on subplates that follow the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 pattern. Inlet pressure can reach 315 bar, while the secondary path is limited to 50 bar to protect sensitive loads. Flow up to 100 l/min can pass through the body without loss of stability, and counter pressure at ports TA or TB may rise to 160 bar without upsetting regulation. Pilot oil is internally sourced with an external return line identified as Y. Pressure is adjusted with a bushing fitted with a hexagon and a protective cap, and the reduced oil exits at port B2. A G1/8 port is provided for a gauge, and the design omits an internal check valve to simplify flow paths.
The valve maintains proper function with hydraulic fluids between 10 mm²/s and 800 mm²/s, covering a broad viscosity spectrum. NBR seals contain the medium and resist swelling in mineral oil service. Fluid temperature may lie anywhere from −30 °C to +80 °C, allowing cold start operation as well as high-temperature continuous duty. The wide viscosity window also permits use with synthetic or bio-based oils when they remain compatible with the sealing material. These temperature and viscosity capabilities keep damping behavior stable and hold hysteresis within acceptable bounds during cyclic loading. Regulation accuracy is further protected because internal damping components are matched to the rated flow. When these limits are observed, the assembly provides reliable pressure reduction in both mobile and stationary hydraulic equipment.
