The ZDR10VB5-3X/100Y pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to maintain a stable secondary pressure in hydraulic systems. It is built in nominal size 10, making it suitable for medium flow rates while keeping the stack height compact. The body mounts as a sandwich plate using the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 pattern so it can be placed between a subplate and a directional valve without extra piping. All process ports carry ISO 228/1 threads, allowing metric tube fittings to seal with metal-to-metal contact. Pressure is adjusted by a hexagon sleeve with a cap, which shields the setting once the desired value is reached. The valve limits secondary pressure to 100 bar, and the reduced fluid leaves through port B2 in accordance with common manifold layouts. An internal pilot oil supply works with an integrated check valve to let reverse flow bypass the control spool and vent downstream fluid during cylinder retraction.

The inlet side withstands a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar, enabling the valve to work directly on high-pressure pump lines. It accepts flow rates up to 100 l/min so the regulated pressure remains consistent during rapid actuator movement. Counter pressure on the downstream side may rise to 160 bar without forcing the spool out of its control range. Pilot oil is returned externally, giving designers the option to route the pilot stream to tank and reduce heat in the valve stack. NBR seals tolerate standard mineral oils and provide straightforward replacement during maintenance. A cleanliness level of ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 is required to avoid abrasive wear on the precision throttling edges. These combined characteristics allow the valve to hold its setting in demanding production machinery that operates for long cycles and frequent load changes.
