The ZDR10VA5-3X/50Y pressure reducing valve is built by Bosch Rexroth as part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series for hydraulic automation circuits that need stable secondary pressure. It fits size 10 sandwich plate manifolds, and the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 porting pattern aligns its A, B, P, and T galleries with standard subplates. Pressure is trimmed through an A2 channel, and the hexagon adjustment with a protective cap identified as type 5 allows on-site setting with a wrench while safeguarding the screw from unintended movement. The unit withstands a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar on the primary side and limits the secondary circuit to 50 bar, so pumps can run at system pressure while downstream actuators see a lower, fixed value. Internal pilot supply draws fluid from the inlet, while external pilot return discharges through the Y port to keep pilot flow separate from tank lines. Counter pressure up to 160 bar at ports ta/tb is acceptable without altering set performance.
A built-in check valve lets free reverse flow, enabling actuators to retract without the need for a separate bypass component. The valve handles up to 100 l/min, maintaining the reduced pressure even during high-volume machine cycles. Four ISO 4762 M6 mounting screws secure the sandwich body, and each screw is tightened to 12 Nm ±10 % to prevent plate distortion. NBR seals are installed to resist common hydraulic oils and to minimize internal leakage between adjacent manifold channels. A G1/8 pressure gauge port provides a convenient point for verifying the adjusted value during commissioning or service. Together these features support compact stack assemblies where precise pressure control, reliable flow capacity, and straightforward maintenance are required.
