The ZDR10VA5-3X/100Y valve belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation where a controlled downstream pressure is required. With a nominal size of 10, the valve is suited to medium flow circuits common in industrial manifolds. An allowable inlet pressure of up to 315 bar lets the unit accept high supply lines without damage. Downstream pressure is limited to 100 bar, establishing the secondary pressure rating needed to protect sensitive actuators. The design accommodates a maximum flow of 100 l/min so that system performance is not restricted at higher pump outputs. Pressure is reduced along the internal path from port A2 to port A1, providing a defined direction for flow regulation. Pilot oil is taken internally and vented externally through port Y, which simplifies supply while preventing back pressure on the pilot stage. A sleeve with a hexagon, identified as adjustment type 5, lets maintenance personnel set the desired pressure with a standard wrench.
The valve is supplied in a sandwich plate configuration, allowing it to be stacked between directional valves without additional piping. Its interface follows the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 porting pattern, so manifold mounting dimensions match industry norms. The NFPA T3.5.1 R2-2002 D05 pattern is also supported, enabling interchange with North American standard blocks. Compatibility with CETOP size D05 ensures unified bolt and port locations across European plate systems. Five working ports are provided, giving separate connections for primary pressure, reduced pressure, pilot, and drains. A G1/8 pressure-gauge port is included to allow direct measurement of the reduced line during commissioning and service. NBR seals are used, offering resistance to common mineral oil fluids at the rated pressures. The hydraulic cleanliness requirement is ISO 4406 20/18/15, indicating filtration levels that prevent premature wear. Overall weight is 2.380 kg, which permits straightforward handling during installation.
