The ZDR10DP2-5X/25YMV unit is produced by Bosch Rexroth for the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is installed to keep a stable downstream pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. It is supplied in nominal size 10 so it fits ISO size-10 sandwich stacks without custom adapters. The sandwich plate mounting style allows the valve to be clamped between adjacent subplates and minimizes additional pipework. A porting pattern of ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 matches standard manifolds for easy interchange. Pressure is reduced in the P port, providing a predictable location for the controlled outlet line. Pilot oil can be taken internally and returned externally, a Y option that simplifies supply routing while relieving the pilot flow back to tank. The pressure is set with a sleeve that has a hexagon and a protective cap, enabling adjustment with a wrench while shielding the setting from accidental movement. FKM seals are fitted so the valve tolerates common synthetic or mineral oils, and the design intentionally omits a check valve, identified by the M code, when reverse flow blocking is not required.
The inlet can be subjected to 315 bar, letting the valve work on high-pressure supply headers before reducing the outlet to a secondary limit of 25 bar for actuators that need lower pressure. Backpressure in port T may reach 160 bar without affecting stability, which is useful when several valve returns share a common line. Flow capacity is 80 l/min, allowing medium-sized machines to run at rated speed without excessive pressure loss. The acceptable fluid viscosity range is 10 to 800 mm²/s so both cold-start and warmed-up oil remain within operating limits. Hydraulic fluid temperature with FKM seals can vary from -20 to +80 °C, covering most indoor and outdoor installations. A G1/4 pressure gauge port drilled 12 mm deep lets maintenance staff monitor the secondary pressure directly. Cleanliness shall meet ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15 to prevent spool wear and ensure consistent reducing behavior.
