The ZDR10DP2-5X/25YM pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to keep a stable downstream pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. It has a nominal size of 10 so it matches medium-frame manifolds without extra adapters. The sandwich plate mounting type lets the valve fit between subplates in a stack, and the ISO 4401-5 (D05) mounting pattern aligns the ports for direct interchange with other standard elements. Pilot oil is taken internally, removing the need for a separate pilot feed, while the controlled flow exits through port P1 where the pressure is limited. A secondary pressure ceiling of 25 bar safeguards cylinders or motors that cannot tolerate higher values, even if the inlet reaches the maximum 315 bar rating. Pressure is set with a sleeve that carries a hexagon head and cap, giving tool access for adjustment while shielding the setting from accidental movement.
The valve handles flow rates up to 80 L/min so it can serve medium throughput power units without excessive pressure drop. NBR sealing is used to tolerate common mineral oils, and the approved hydraulic fluids are HL and HLP grades defined in DIN 51524. The cleanliness class of ISO 4406 (C) 20/18/15 sets the required filtration level to prevent spool wear and sticking. Because there is no integrated check valve, reverse flow must be handled by external components when needed. Back pressure at port T can rise to 160 bar, allowing the unit to work in circuits where the tank line carries moderate pressure. Leakage oil is routed externally, which helps maintain a low internal temperature by venting waste flow directly to the reservoir. A BSP-threaded gauge port is provided so service personnel can connect a pressure indicator during commissioning or troubleshooting.
