The ZDR10DP2-5X/210YM/12 pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and keeps downstream pressure constant in automated hydraulic circuits. With nominal size 10 it occupies a standard footprint, and its ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 porting pattern permits direct mounting on CETOP 5 subplates. Pressure enters through channel P where it is reduced to a secondary pressure of 210 bar while the inlet side can withstand up to 350 bar. Setting is changed by a hexagon sleeve with a protective cap, preventing accidental adjustment during service. An SAE threaded interface mates the valve body to common manifold blocks, and the NBR sealing elements resist typical mineral oils. Because no check valve is incorporated, reverse flow must be handled by external hardware.
Pilot oil is drawn internally and returned externally, simplifying supply lines while letting the user manage back-pressure independently. The version P flow path carries up to 160 l/min, and the valve remains stable even when counter pressure at port T rises to 160 bar. Oil cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid wear and ensure reliable spool movement. Ambient air around the assembly can reach 80 °C, and the hydraulic fluid may also run as hot as 80 °C without jeopardizing functionality. These thermal limits allow the component to share reservoirs with pumps that generate significant heat. The complete valve weighs 2.8 kg, so installation and replacement can be done by one technician.
