The ZDR10DP2-5X/210YM pressure reducing valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth as part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series. It is installed in hydraulic automation circuits to maintain a stable secondary pressure while the primary line operates at a higher level. The valve uses a sleeve with a hexagon protective cap so service personnel can adjust the setting without disturbing surrounding components. Its nominal size is 10, matching subplate cavities built to the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 pattern for easy interchangeability in manifolds. The unit tolerates a maximum input pressure of 315 bar and limits the downstream side to 210 bar, which protects actuators from overload. Pilot oil is taken internally, reducing the need for auxiliary lines, while leakage oil drains externally to keep the pilot gallery free of contamination. A back-pressure of up to 160 bar can be applied to port T without impairing function. Flow capacity reaches 80 L/min, allowing moderate volume circuits to operate without excessive pressure drop. A check valve is not included, so reverse flow must be handled by separate components.
Operating limits are set for mineral oil types HL or HLP, ensuring compatibility with fluids commonly stocked in industrial power units. The viscosity window runs from 10 mm²/s to 800 mm²/s so the damping gaps inside the valve remain supplied with oil whether the system is at start-up or fully warmed. Fluid temperature can drop to –30 °C or rise to +80 °C, a span that accommodates outdoor equipment as well as machines located near heat sources. This thermal resilience helps the unit handle its rated flow without cavitation when viscosity fluctuates. An NBR seal set contains the fluid across that band and resists swelling in the specified oils, preserving the secondary pressure setting. These material, temperature, and viscosity parameters work together with the previously stated pressure and flow figures to maintain reliable pressure reduction, and they keep the sleeve adjustment stable during prolonged hydraulic automation duty cycles.
