The ZDR10DP2-5X/150YM/12 pressure reducing valve from Bosch Rexroth belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series. Designed to stabilize downstream pressure in hydraulic automation circuits, it employs a sleeve with hexagon and a protective cap so the setpoint can be adjusted with standard tools while being shielded against accidental change. Pilot oil is supplied internally, eliminating the need for an external pilot line. The valve reduces pressure at port P1, and its input side tolerates operating pressure up to 315 bar so it can be placed directly after high-pressure pumps. Downstream pressure is limited to 150 bar to protect sensitive actuators. A nominal size of 10 balances compact dimensions with adequate flow area, and installation follows the ISO 4401-05 (D05) interface, allowing direct mounting on common subplates without additional adapters.
Flow capacity reaches 80 L/min, giving the unit sufficient volume for medium-power hydraulic systems, while back pressure at port T may rise to 160 bar without affecting regulation accuracy. Leakage oil is routed through an external drain so housing pressure remains low and consistent. A SAE-threaded gauge port lets maintenance personnel connect pressure instruments for quick checks. NBR seals are fitted to resist wear when working with mineral oil grades HL or HLP, which are the approved hydraulic fluids. Cleanliness must be maintained at ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to keep the throttling and pilot stages free from contamination. Because no check valve is integrated, designers must add a separate valve if reverse free flow is required.
