The ZDR10DB2-5X/75YMV/12 pressure reducing valve belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is intended to maintain a stable secondary pressure in hydraulic circuits. The valve is built in nominal size 10 for medium flow systems and is provided as a sandwich plate element so it can be stacked between subplates and directional valves. An ISO 4401-5 (D05) porting pattern defines the interface and allows quick interchange with other components using the same pattern. Pressure adjustment is made through a sleeve with a hexagon and a protective cap, enabling field setting while shielding the screw from contamination. The internal pilot oil supply draws fluid from the pressure line and routes it to the control spool, and pressure reduction occurs at port P1 with the pilot taken from port B. The design supports a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar on the primary side while holding the secondary side to 75 bar, so it can safeguard downstream actuators against overload.
During operation the valve accommodates flows up to 80 L/min without exceeding the specified stability range, and it tolerates 160 bar counter-pressure at port T to suit circuits with back-pressure return lines. An external leakage oil drain routes pilot and spool seepage back to tank, preventing pressure rise in the spring chamber. No check valve is incorporated, so reverse flow must be handled by separate components if required. The sealing elements are made from FKM to withstand high temperature and aggressive fluids, and all ports use SAE threads on the optional gauge connection for standardized instrumentation. The unit can be installed in any position, a feature that simplifies manifold layout. Hydraulic cleanliness should be maintained at ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 or better to avoid spool wear and sticking.
