The ZDR10DB2-5X/150YMV valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to maintain a controlled branch pressure in hydraulic automation equipment. With a nominal size of 10, it matches CETOP 5 cavities and balances footprint with flow capability. The valve draws its pilot oil internally so no external pilot feed is required, and it sends the pilot oil back through an external line to prevent backpressure on the control spring. A secondary pressure rating of 150 bar defines the downstream level that the device can hold steady even when the inlet reaches the maximum operating pressure of 315 bar. Pressure is trimmed in channel P based on a pilot signal taken from port B, allowing circuit designers to sense load conditions remotely. The sleeve with hexagon and cap adjustment lets maintenance staff set the value accurately while guarding the screw from accidental movement, and the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 porting pattern ensures direct mounting on standard subplates.
For flow management, the valve carries a continuous capacity of 80 l/min, enabling moderate actuator speeds without exceeding the calibrated pressure drop. Counter pressure at port T may rise to 160 bar, so the design tolerates high backpressure without upsetting the regulated outlet. Leakage oil is routed externally via port TA, which helps keep the housing free of residual pressure and improves thermal balance. No check valve is fitted, so reverse flow must be handled by separate components when required by the circuit. Operation is permissible in any installation position, simplifying manifold design and service access. A dedicated pressure-gauge port is provided so technicians can verify the reduced pressure without opening the system. The sealing elements are made from FKM to handle high temperature and aggressive fluids, and the cleanliness requirement of ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 protects the precision pilot stages against wear.
