The ZDR10DB2-5X/150YM pressure reducing valve is part of the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to hold a controlled outlet pressure in hydraulic automation lines. Its nominal size 10 defines the flow cross-section suited to medium duty circuits. The sandwich plate mounting style lets the unit be clamped between common sub-plates without extra piping. A porting pattern of ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 aligns each port with matching manifold passages. Pressure is trimmed in channel P so the pump supply is reduced before it reaches sensitive actuators. Pilot oil is supplied internally, which removes the need for an external pilot line. The control signal is taken from channel B so the valve reacts directly to downstream pressure fluctuations. Pilot oil is returned externally, preventing back-pressure from influencing the pilot stage. Pressure adjustment is made by a sleeve with a hexagon head under a protective cap to allow precise setting with simple tools.
It limits the secondary side to a maximum of 150 bar to protect cylinders and motors, yet the inlet can withstand 315 bar without structural stress. The design carries up to 80 l/min, giving adequate capacity for presses, clamping stations, or similar equipment. Counter pressure of 160 bar at port T is permitted, meaning return line peaks do not upset the set pressure. Leakage oil is routed externally through port TA to keep housing pressure low and safeguard seals. A G1/4 pressure gauge port is present so technicians can monitor the reduced pressure during commissioning. The valve is supplied without a check valve, so reverse flow must be managed elsewhere in the circuit. NBR sealing elements are fitted, making the unit compatible with standard mineral oils and moderate temperature ranges. These characteristics support pressure stabilization in hydraulic systems where compact manifold stacking is required.
