The ZDR10DA1-5X/150YM/12 valve belongs to the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation that requires stable downstream pressure. It is built in nominal size 10 to match CETOP 05 manifolds and conserve space in medium-flow circuits. The ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 porting pattern and the corresponding NFPA T3.5.1 D05 layout allow direct mounting on standardized subplates. Channel A is designated as the reduction path so the component limits pressure only in that flow line. A rotary knob adjustment simplifies setting the required value during commissioning without additional tools. The design supports a maximum secondary pressure of 150 bar to protect sensitive actuators from higher inlet pressure that can reach 315 bar. Because no check valve is fitted, reverse flow must be managed elsewhere in the system. The pilot supply is internal while the pilot oil returns externally through port Y, which separates control flow from the main circuit for consistent modulation.
The unit handles flow rates up to 80 l/min, making it suitable for moderate throughput lines without inducing excessive pressure drop. A counter pressure of up to 160 bar can be present at port T, so the drain connection may return to high-pressure reservoirs without affecting regulation accuracy. A G1/4 pressure gauge port is provided to monitor the reduced pressure directly at the valve during operation or maintenance. NBR seals are used to tolerate common hydraulic oils while resisting wear and leakage. The recommended viscosity window stretches from 10 mm²/s to 800 mm²/s, giving flexibility for cold starts and higher temperature running. Fluid cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to prevent spool erosion and ensure repeatable response. Together these characteristics let the valve maintain controlled outlet pressure in variable-demand circuits while preserving internal components against contamination and fluid property changes.
