The ZDR 10 DP1-54/150YM pressure reducing valve is built by Bosch Rexroth for the ZDR Pressure Reducing Valves series and is intended to stabilize downstream pressure in hydraulic automation loops. The valve is direct operated, so the spool reacts immediately to inlet pressure changes without a pilot stage, enabling fast response in compact circuits. A rotary knob is provided for pressure adjustment, allowing maintenance personnel to set the secondary pressure without tools. It mounts as a sandwich plate, which shortens piping runs and lets the unit be stacked between sub-plates in modular manifolds. The porting pattern follows ISO 4401-05-04-0-05, ensuring interchangeability with standardized NFPA size 05 interfaces. Nominal size 10 passages accommodate medium flow paths while keeping the footprint small. Five ports are machined in the body so auxiliary functions like gauge sensing and drain routing can be connected directly. Reduced pressure is taken from channel P, which means the valve controls the pump line before it reaches downstream actuators. The secondary pressure limit is 150 bar, giving equipment designers a mid-range setting for cylinders and motors that should not see full supply pressure.
For inlet conditions, the valve tolerates a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar so it can be installed on high-pressure pump lines without risk of structural overload. Counter pressure at port T may reach 160 bar, a value that prevents back-pressure from disturbing the regulated outlet when the return line is pressurized. The design passes up to 80 l/min, supporting moderate flow demands in machine tools and test rigs. Pilot supply is taken internally while the pilot drain can be routed externally, a Y configuration that simplifies assembly yet lets the designer bleed pilot oil to tank when stability requires it. No check valve is included, so reverse flow must be handled by external components if needed. A G1/4 pressure gauge port is provided so technicians can verify the reduced pressure during commissioning and service. NBR seals are used because they are compatible with common mineral-oil based fluids and maintain elasticity over the valve’s working temperature range. The cleanliness requirement of ISO 4406 20/18/15 protects the precision spool fit from contamination, extending service life and ensuring repeatable pressure control.
