The Z2S22A1-5X/ is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the Z2S Check Valves series. It serves hydraulic automation tasks by allowing return flow while preventing reverse flow to hold actuators in position. The nominal size is 25, giving passage dimensions appropriate for medium to large circuits. A maximum operating pressure of 315 bar permits use in high-pressure systems, and the valve passes up to 450 l/min so pumps can run at full delivery without restriction. Flow begins at a cracking pressure of 3 bar, and a pre-opening feature reduces pressure shocks as the poppet lifts. Free flow is available from A1 to A2 or B1 to B2, while channel A remains leak-free in the blocked direction to secure loads. These characteristics make the unit suitable for clamping functions or cylinder position holding where precise, pressure-dependent release is needed.
This model can be installed in any orientation and follows the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 porting pattern as well as NFPA pattern T3.5.1 D08, allowing direct mounting on standardized subplates. Six M12-10.9 screws per ISO 4762 provide the required clamping force, and the plug screw must be tightened to 70 Nm with an SW46 wrench during service. NBR seals contain hydraulic oil and withstand the stated pressure range, while system fluid cleanliness must not exceed ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15 to protect seating surfaces. The design includes a pre-machined pilot stage closed by the plug screw, and internal passages maintain the specified flow characteristics without needing additional fittings.
