The Z2S22-4-5X/ is a pilot-operated check valve produced by Bosch Rexroth for the Z2S Check Valves series. It is installed in hydraulic manifolds to keep an actuator locked until pilot pressure opens the flow path. Leak-free blocking in channels A and B prevents drift when the pump is off. The valve withstands operating pressures up to 315 bar so it suits heavy-duty circuits, while a 10 bar cracking pressure sets a clear threshold that avoids unintended release from minor pressure spikes. It handles flows as high as 450 l/min, allowing high-volume cylinders to move without excessive pressure loss. A nominal size of 25 matches the D08 manifold cavity, and the subplate interface follows the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 pattern to support drop-in replacement. The corresponding NFPA pattern is D08, making the unit compatible with North American blocks. Because the valve can be mounted in any position, designers can orient the manifold to fit tight machine envelopes.
NBR seals are fitted to this model to work with mineral oils covered by DIN 51524 hydraulic fluid classes. When fire-resistant media are required, the construction also meets ISO 12922 so phosphate-ester or water-glycol fluids can be used. System cleanliness must be maintained at ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15 or better to protect the seating surfaces from wear and guarantee tight shut-off. The body is secured with six M12 screws in accordance with ISO 4762 grade 10.9, providing sufficient clamping force against internal pressure. Service plugs accept a SW46 hex socket, and each plug should be tightened to 70 Nm to prevent leakage. These sealing, fluid, cleanliness, and fastening requirements combine to deliver reliable long-term operation in stationary and mobile hydraulic automation.
