The Z2S22-3-5X/ valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the Z2S Check Valves series and serves to block reverse flow in hydraulic automation circuits while allowing pilot-controlled release when required. It uses the size 25 interface, matching the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 porting pattern so it can drop into common subplates without adapter blocks. Compliance with the NFPA T3.5.1 R2-2002 D08 pattern further extends interchangeability with North American manifolds. Six M12 ISO 4762-10.9 mounting screws provide uniform clamping, and a mounting face flatness of 0.01 mm per 100 mm reduces the risk of internal leakage. The sealing surface is finished to a maximum roughness of Rz1 4 to maintain long-term tightness. Because the unit may be installed in any position, designers can orient it as space dictates. A standard pre-opening feature introduces a small pilot flow that softens pressure spikes during switching.
The housing withstands a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar (4568 psi), enabling use in high-pressure power units, while internal galleries pass up to 450 l/min (118.9 US gpm) without excessive loss. A cracking pressure of 7.5 bar (108.8 psi) ensures forward flow only begins after the set differential is reached. Approved mineral-oil media include HL, HLP, HVLP, and HVLPD, so existing plant fluids can be retained. For installations that demand fire resistance, HFC, HFDU, and HFDR fluids are also permitted, and environmentally compatible options such as HETG, HEES, HEPG, and HEPR support eco-focused projects. Hydraulic cleanliness must be kept to ISO 4406 20/18/15 to protect the seat surfaces from premature wear. The plug screw is tightened to 70 Nm to lock internal components and maintain sealing integrity during dynamic load changes.
