The Z2S16-4-5X/V valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth and belongs to the Z2S Check Valves series. It is applied in hydraulic automation to hold pressure until a control command allows flow, keeping actuators stationary when required. The unit is supplied in valve size 16, providing internal passages that match systems of the same nominal size. It follows the ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 porting pattern, so it mounts directly on standardized subplates. Because the installation position can be any orientation, layout flexibility is high. Leakage-free blocking on both A and B channels prevents unintended cylinder movement. A pre-opening feature moderates pressure surges during release. Flow begins only after the 10 bar cracking pressure is reached. Continuous service is permitted up to 315 bar operating pressure with flow rates to 300 l/min for mid-range power circuits.
The hydraulic fluid must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15 to protect sealing surfaces. When water-glycol media are used, the valve withstands a differential pressure of 210 bar, retaining reliable closure with HFC fluids. Fastening is achieved by four M10 and two M6 screws conforming to ISO 4762 grade 10.9, ensuring secure attachment to the manifold. The plug screw accepts an SW41 hex wrench, and a tightening torque of 70 Nm holds internal parts in place. FKM seals provide chemical compatibility with conventional mineral oils and many synthetic hydraulics. These hardware details complete the specification set needed for dependable service in automated hydraulic equipment.
