The Z2S16-2-5X/V is a pilot-operated check valve manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the Z2S Check Valves series. It provides leakage-free blocking for ports A and B in hydraulic automation circuits where reverse flow must be prevented until pilot pressure acts. The size 16 body conforms to the ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 porting pattern, allowing direct stacking on matching subplates. Rated for a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar, the valve remains closed until a cracking pressure of 5 bar is reached at the pilot channel. A pre-opening feature assists flow build-up to reduce switching shock. Continuous service is supported at flow rates up to 300 l/min, and the design accepts HL, HLP, HLPD, HVLP, or HVLPD hydraulic fluids.
Installation can be in any orientation, provided the oil cleanliness is maintained at 20/18/15 according to ISO 4406. An FKM seal kit withstands fluid aging and temperature cycles, keeping external leakage low over time. Fixing to the manifold uses four M10 class 10.9 screws and two M6 class 10.9 screws; each plug screw on the housing is tightened to 70 Nm to secure internal components. The calculated MTTFd of 150 years demonstrates a high level of functional safety for long-life equipment. Together, these mechanical and material details make the Z2S16-2-5X/V suitable for compact hydraulic blocks where dependable port isolation is required.
