The Z2S16-2-5X/ check valve belongs to the Z2S Check Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to hold loads and prevent reverse flow in hydraulic automation circuits. It is built for a nominal size of 16, allowing a maximum flow of 300 l/min through the manifold interface defined by porting pattern ISO 4401-07-07-0-05. The valve provides leakage-free blocking on ports A and B so actuators remain securely positioned under load. A cracking pressure of 5 bar determines the point at which the poppet lifts to permit forward flow. The product can be installed in any orientation, giving freedom in block layout and piping runs.
The housing tolerates a continuous operating pressure of 315 bar, while a maximum differential of 210 bar is permitted when using water-glycol fluids. Reliable function is maintained between −30 °C and 80 °C hydraulic fluid temperature, helped by NBR seals that resist common mineral oils. Fluid cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to protect the seating surfaces from wear. A plug screw tightening torque of 70 Nm secures internal components during service. The design reaches an MTTFd value of 150 years, indicating long statistical lifetime in safety-related control systems.
