The Z2FS6-3-4X/1QV throttle check valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the Z2FS Throttle Check Valves series. It controls flow in hydraulic automation circuits by being installed as a sandwich plate between adjacent valve layers. A lockable rotary knob with a scale is provided for setting the orifice, and the mechanism supports fine adjustment so technicians can dial in precise restrictions. The body matches NFPA size D03 manifolds and follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern to ensure interchangeability with standard subplates. The unit handles operating pressures up to 350 bar and allows flow rates as high as 80 l/min when the passage is fully open. Acceptable hydraulic media can have viscosities from 10 mm²/s to 800 mm²/s and temperatures from −20 °C to +80 °C.
FKM seals are fitted to resist swelling and maintain tightness with mineral oils HL, HLP, HLPD, HVLP, and HVLPD as well as with bio-degradable or fire-resistant fluids HETG, HEES, HEPG, HFDU, and HFDR. This broad media compatibility allows the same valve type to be stocked for diverse hydraulic power units. The component can be mounted in any position, giving designers flexibility when arranging multi-section manifolds. Hydraulic oil must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness class 20/18/15 so that the metering edges remain free of abrasive debris. A calibrated annulus in the throttle spool maintains linear flow characteristics throughout the setting range. These design features help the metering gap keep a stable flow curve despite thermal expansion and viscosity changes during extended operation.
