The Z2FS22-3X/SV valve belongs to the Z2FS Throttle Check Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and provides adjustable flow restriction for hydraulic automation systems. Flow setting is achieved through mechanical actuation so no pilot pressure or electrical signal is required. A spindle with an internal hex and an SW6 interface lets maintenance staff change the orifice size using a 6 mm Allen key. The nominal size 25 (D08) aligns the valve with D08 sandwich plates used on medium-capacity presses and test rigs. A maximum flow of 360 l/min is supported when throttling the supply line, designated as mode S. Operating pressure can reach 350 bar, allowing the unit to sit in the high-pressure portion of a circuit. For water-glycol HFC media the permissible differential pressure across the throttling section is 210 bar to prevent cavitation. Four working ports follow the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 pattern so the module can be stacked between a subplate and a directional valve without adapter blocks.
Circuit schematics follow NFPA T3.5.1 R2-D08. This standardized symbol set helps engineers match the internal check-throttle layout to the rest of the manifold. System oil must be cleaner than ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to keep the throttling edge free of contamination. FKM sealing elements withstand elevated temperatures and aggressive additives common in industrial power units. Installation requires M12 screws rated to ISO 4762-10.9 for adequate clamping. A 22 mm wrench is applied to the retaining hex and tightened to 25 Nm to seat the valve against the manifold face. The assembled module weighs 8 kg, a consideration for operators handling multi-layer valve stacks.
