The 4WP6J6X/V/5 valve is part of the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is intended to shift hydraulic flow paths through pneumatic actuation. It mounts on the DIN 24340 Form A interface and uses a 42 mm clamping length to hold the subplate tightly. A pilot volume of 4.24 cm³ dictates how much compressed air is required for each shift, and the pilot circuit must stay between 4 bar and 10 bar to operate correctly. There is a spring return that moves the spool back when pilot pressure is vented. FKM seals are fitted to resist oil and temperature swings, and the unit functions with ambient temperatures from −20 °C to +80 °C while accommodating hydraulic fluid in the same range.
The valve tolerates 315 bar on ports a, b, and p, with port t limited to 160 bar, so it can handle high-pressure supply lines and a lower-pressure tank return. It allows a maximum flow of 60 l/min, and the spool can cycle up to 7 200 times per hour for rapid machine sequencing. Operating oil must match ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid contamination-related wear, and viscosity may vary from 2.8 to 500 mm²/s without hindering movement. These hydraulic parameters round out the performance envelope established by the pneumatic control characteristics, enabling reliable service in automated systems.
