A porting pattern of ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 aligns the body with common subplates, easing manifold integration. Ports A, B, and P tolerate 315 bar, while the T return channel is rated for 160 bar to protect reservoir plumbing. Fluid cleanliness must reach ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 so the spool slides without scoring. An FKM seal package resists mineral oils and supports service up to 80 °C. Viscosities as high as 500 mm²/s are accepted during cold starts, and the valve can be mounted in any orientation to suit tight layouts.
Pneumatic actuation shifts the spool, eliminating energized coils in explosive or EMI-sensitive zones. The pilot supply connects through a G1/8 port, and an internal volume of 4.24 cm³ allows the pressure wave to move the spool rapidly. Shifting becomes reliable at 4 bar and remains safe up to 10 bar, giving designers margin when line pressure fluctuates. Under stable pilot conditions the mechanism reaches 7,200 cycles per hour, supporting fast indexing presses and loaders. A spring-return manual override is provided so technicians can reposition the spool during commissioning or downtime without compressed air. Because the valve derives all motion from the air pilot, thermal loading is minimal and the rated switching frequency is maintained throughout long duty cycles.
