The 4WP6H6X/5 valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series and directs hydraulic flow in automated equipment that uses air pilot control. It relies on pneumatic actuation, so an external air signal shifts the spool without electrical input. The design is compatible with mineral oil grades HL and HLP, and it withstands operating pressures up to 315 bar at ports a, b, and p. Port t can safely accept up to 160 bar, while the hydraulic circuit can move as much as 60 l/min through the valve body. A switching rate of 7,200 cycles per hour supports high-speed machinery, and reliable operation is achieved when pilot pressure stays between 4 bar and 10 bar.
Fluid cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 to prevent wear and sticking. The valve can be installed in any orientation, giving layout flexibility. Proper subplate seating requires a mounting face flatness of 0.01 mm per 100 mm and a surface roughness not exceeding Rzmax 4. It follows the DIN 24340 Form A mounting pattern, and the port array matches ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 with an alternate layout conforming to NFPA T3.5.1 R2-2002 D03, allowing easy interchange with international manifolds.
