The 4WP6G6X/5 valve belongs to the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is intended to direct hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It employs pneumatic actuation so an air pilot shifts the spool without electrical components. The nominal size 6 gives a compact envelope that fits NG6 subplates in tight control blocks. Four working ports permit standard four-way control of cylinders or motors. A porting pattern of ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 allows manifold mounting in systems built to international standards. The additional NFPA T3.5.1 R2-2002 D03 interface keeps the valve interchangeable with North American D03 subplates. A maximum flow capacity of 60 l/min supports medium power circuits without excessive pressure loss.
The valve tolerates line pressures up to 315 bar on the pressure and service ports which suits high-pressure hydraulic supplies. Tank port pressure is limited to 160 bar so return lines must stay below this threshold. Pilot air must lie between 4 and 10 bar, matching common shop air ranges and preventing erratic shifting. A pilot volume of 4.24 cm³ keeps actuation air consumption low for energy efficiency. The design reaches a switching frequency of 7200 cycles per hour, enabling rapid directional changes in high-speed automation. It can be installed in any orientation which simplifies layout inside compact manifolds. Hydraulic fluid cleanliness has to meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to maintain reliable spool movement and limit wear.
