The 4WP6D6X/ON/5 spool valve is part of the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series produced by Bosch Rexroth. It directs hydraulic flow in automated machinery and is shifted by pneumatic actuation, so compressed air moves the spool without electrical coils. The valve is built in size 6 which determines the mounting envelope and compatible subplates. It follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern, allowing interchange with other CETOP 03 components. Four main ports provide the paths needed for typical four-way control of pressure, tank, and two work lines. The working lines can be pressurized up to 315 bar, and flow up to 60 l/min can pass through the body without exceeding rated limits. The pilot stage requires at least 4 bar to shift the spool and must not exceed 10 bar during operation.
The pilot chamber holds 4.24 cm³, so each shift uses a small and predictable volume of control air. The tank port can handle back pressure up to 160 bar which protects the return line from surge events. A maximum switching frequency of 7 200 cycles per hour supports rapid duty cycles in hydraulic automation sequences. A manual override is fitted to permit local actuation during setup or in the event of a control air loss. NBR seals are installed to resist mineral hydraulic oils while maintaining tight leakage control. The clean fluid requirement is ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid premature wear or sticking. The valve is intended for horizontal installation which helps the spool center under its own weight, and there is no spring return so external pilot pressure must always reposition the spool.
