The 4WP10H3X/V/12 valve belongs to the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. In hydraulic automation it directs pilot and main flow to actuators according to spool position. The unit accepts oil filtered to ISO 4406 20/18/15, preventing premature wear. It can be mounted in any orientation, simplifying layout inside tight manifolds. Connection to a manifold follows the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 pattern, letting designers standardize port geometry. Pilot supply enters through a 7/16-20 UNF port, and the internal pilot chamber holds 6.9 cm³ so response time remains predictable. Control begins at a pilot pressure of 8 bar and is allowed up to 160 bar without damage. The main pressure ports a, B, and P withstand 350 bar, providing margin for high-pressure circuits.
The valve passes up to 160 l/min, supporting medium-sized cylinder groups without throttling. Return flow at port t may reach 210 bar, enabling elevated back-pressure circuits. Oil viscosities between 2.8 and 500 mm²/s are accepted, so seasonal changes or different fluid grades do not require adjustment. Continuous service is permitted with fluid temperatures from –15 °C to 80 °C, while surrounding air may rise to 70 °C before derating is necessary. Fluoroelastomer (FKM) seals contain the working media under these combined thermal and pressure conditions. Operating within these limits keeps internal clearances lubricated and prevents thermal deformation, allowing the 4WP10H3X/V/12 to maintain reliable directional control across varied industrial environments.
