The 4WP10C3X/12 valve is built by Bosch Rexroth within the WP Pneumatic Spool Valves series and directs pressure flow in hydraulic automation loops. It conforms to size 10, giving passage dimensions suited for medium-power circuits. The internal spool passages allow up to 160 l/min to pass, and working ports a, b, and p tolerate 350 bar so the unit can sit close to pumps or cylinders that run at full system pressure. Return port T is limited to 210 bar to protect downstream lines. Shifting the spool requires a minimum pilot pressure of 8 bar; each actuation moves 6.9 cm³ of oil through a pilot chamber that vents via a 7/16-20 UNF threaded port, making hose or tube connection straightforward.
Supply fluid must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15 to avoid abrasive damage, and the valve can be mounted in any position without performance loss. The manifold face must be flat within 0.01 mm over 100 mm and maintain a surface roughness not exceeding Rzmax 4 to ensure leak-free sealing. Installation uses ISO 4762 M6 × 40 screws that clamp the body against a subplate machined to porting pattern ISO 4401-05-04-0-05. When secured under these conditions, the assembly offers a mean time to dangerous failure of 150 years, supporting long service life in continuous hydraulic duty.
