The H-4WMM22G7X/F/V directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WM Directional Spool Valves series and is used to switch flow paths in hydraulic automation circuits. It is actuated by a hand lever, and a detent holds the spool in its selected position until the operator moves the lever again. The housing is nominal size 25 and contains four main ports arranged to the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 porting pattern, while mounting follows DIN 24340 Form A25 for compatibility with standard subplates. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar is allowed on ports A, B, and P, and port T can withstand up to 250 bar during return flow. Passage geometry supports a flow of 450 l/min, permitting the valve to control large cylinders without excessive pressure loss.
The unit accepts HL, HLP, HETG, HEPG, and HEES hydraulic fluids, giving users a choice between mineral-based and biodegradable media. Proper operation requires viscosity between 2.8 mm²/s and 380 mm²/s, ensuring the spool receives adequate lubrication at both cold-start and full-load temperatures. With FKM seals in place, the permissible fluid temperature extends from −20 °C to +80 °C, and the seal material provides chemical resistance to all approved fluid families. Cleanliness of the supply must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 so abrasive particles do not damage the finely machined spool lands. Observing these fluid, temperature, viscosity, and cleanliness limits allows the valve to maintain consistent switching force and service life in high-duty hydraulic systems.
