The H-4WMM22E7X/ directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth for the WM Directional Spool Valves series and is intended to switch high-pressure hydraulic circuits in automated machinery. Manual operation is provided through a hand lever, and the spool shifts 24.5° to either side of center, giving a total actuating angle of 2 × 24.5°. A spring return demands 105 N to reach end position, returning the spool to neutral when the lever is released. Four working ports are arranged according to the DIN 24340 A25 and ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 pattern, while the internal configuration follows spool symbol E. The pressure ports A, B, and P withstand up to 350 bar, the tank port T is rated for 250 bar, and flow capacity reaches 450 l/min to support large actuators.
The valve can be installed in any orientation, so machine builders have optional mounting positions. A dedicated Y drain port routes leakage oil when system pressure exceeds 160 bar to prevent seal overload. Recommended media include mineral oils conforming to DIN 51524 and alternative fluids such as HL, HLP, HETG, HEPG, or HEES. To maintain long service life, the hydraulic oil must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15. Six M12 × 60 socket head screws per ISO 4762 secure the valve to the subplate, and each screw is tightened to 130 Nm to achieve proper clamping.
