The H-4WMM16D7X/F/V directional spool valve is part of the WM Directional Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to route hydraulic flow between supply, actuator, and return lines. The valve is actuated by a hand lever, giving the operator direct control without electrical or pilot pressure assistance. Its nominal size of 16 establishes the interface dimensions and supports a maximum flow of 300 l/min, enough for medium-to-high output cylinders or motors. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar at ports A, B, and P allows the unit to work in high-pressure circuits, while the tank port tolerates up to 250 bar of back-pressure. Four ports are provided so standard P, T, A, and B functions can be connected. Mounting follows DIN 24340 Form A16 as well as ISO 4401-07-07-0-05, making the valve interchangeable with common subplates in mobile or industrial equipment.

An actuating angle of 2 × 26° defines the lever travel required to shift the spool fully in either direction, giving predictable stroke and feedback to the operator. A detent holds the spool in its selected position until the lever is moved again, preventing unintended movement in vibration-prone environments. FKM seal material resists many hydraulic fluids and elevated temperatures, extending service life. The recommended cleanliness level of 20/18/15 under ISO 4406 helps prevent wear and sticking of the precision-ground spool. Because the housing can be mounted in any position, designers have flexibility when placing the valve in crowded manifolds. Securing screws are tightened to 75 Nm to ensure proper clamping without distorting the casting. These characteristics allow the H-4WMM16D7X/F/V valve to provide reliable, manually controlled flow direction in automated hydraulic machines.
