The H-4WMM16D7X/F directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth and belongs to the WM Directional Spool Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow in automated circuits by manual input through a hand lever, and a detent holds the selected spool position until it is moved again. The lever travels through two strokes of 26° from center, providing defined switching limits. Four ports allow connection to pressure, actuator, and tank lines, while the porting pattern follows ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 for manifold mounting compatibility. The valve fits a DIN 24340 Form A16 interface, and it can be installed in any orientation to simplify layout in tight machinery envelopes. Sealing elements are made from NBR to suit common mineral oils and maintain leakage control.
In operation, the valve tolerates line pressures up to 350 bar at ports A, B, and P, and it permits 250 bar at the tank port to match high-pressure return circuits. A maximum flow of 300 l/min can pass through the spool without exceeding rated pressure drop. The design handles hydraulic oils with viscosities up to 380 mm²/s and maintains function until fluid temperature reaches 80 °C. System cleanliness should not exceed ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15 to prevent spool sticking and wear. For secure attachment, M10 screws are tightened to 75 Nm and auxiliary M6 fasteners to 12.5 Nm, ensuring the body remains seated on the subplate under dynamic load.
