The 4WHD10E3X/12 spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WHD Directional Spool Valves series and directs pressurized oil to actuators in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve has a nominal size of 10 so it fits medium-duty manifolds without excessive flow resistance. A spool stroke of 5.5 mm provides the travel needed to uncover the working ports fully for repeatable switching. The assembly tolerates a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar, permitting use in high-pressure power units. A rated flow of 120 l/min enables fast cylinder or motor response when the valve is open. Pilot control requires at least 10 bar and remains stable up to 100 bar, while a control volume of 3.83 cm³ per shift determines the oil demand for actuating the spool.
External pilot circuits must not exceed 6.5 bar, and the return port T can withstand up to 160 bar, guarding the housing against overload on the drain side. Oil with viscosities up to 500 mm²/s can be processed, provided cleanliness is maintained at ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 and fluid temperature stays below 80 °C to limit wear. The valve can be installed in any orientation, and it bolts to subplates with the ISO 4401-05-04-0-05 interface. Mounting is secured by four M6 × 40 screws to ISO 4762-10.9, tightened to 9 Nm to hold the body firmly against the manifold and seal the ports.
