External pilot oil supply through port X keeps the control stage isolated from line pressure, while external return through port Y removes pilot oil without back-pressure interference. Port Y withstands up to 250 bar, and the pilot circuit itself may be pressurized up to 250 bar, giving designers freedom to locate the pilot lines anywhere in the manifold. Cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15 is specified so filtration must meet that level to prevent spool erosion and sticking. Functional lifetime is quantified at an MTTFd of 150 years, supporting safety calculations for performance level determinations. The housing mounts to an ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 interface, secured with six M12 × 60 screws to provide even clamping of the sealing plate.
